SOOR-yah bay-DAH-nah
A heating pranayama that involves inhaling exclusively through the right nostril (Pingala Nadi). it stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, increases physical heat, and boosts vitality and alertness.
Sit tall, close left nostril with ring finger.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Exhale through the left nostril (traditional) or keep repeating right side.
Find an active seated position. Keep the chest lifted and the right elbow relaxed.
Vishnu Mudra with the right hand.
Draw the solar energy through the right channel, imagining it as a warm, golden light.
